Coolest from October to December at average temperature of 8 ,-10 °C. From December to February at average temperature of -15, -30 °C Warmest from May to July at average temperature of 35C.

POINTS OF INTEREST
Semey is famous for its cultural & historical places. Many famous writers were born here: Abai Kunanbayev, Shakarim Kudaibergenov, Mukhtar Auezov. Historical monuments & places: Jidebai (Abai & Shakarim memorials-200 km. from the city). Museums: Abai museum, Dostoevsky museum, local historical museum, Nevzorov’s museum (of pictures).
In previous years on the Semey nuclear testing ground were made many explosions, you can see its influence in the anatomical medicine museum, memorial to the victims is placed at the Polkovnichy island.
You can see different animals in the biological center (bear, wolf, fox, elk, roe deer & others entered to the Red Book)
Nature is very beautiful, great Pine forest, which is the only in the world, Irtish river is the one of the longest in the world.
